Collection Instructions
For fecal sample collection at home, please follow the step-by-step guidelines. Failure to follow these instructions may cause your sample to be rejected by the laboratory.
1 Register
Download the Genofax® app or login to genofax.com/auth/register to register your kit using your kit ID.

2 Get Ready
- Put on the Nitrile Gloves before starting any collection.
- Lift the toilet cover.
- Open the Fe-Col® Collection Paper and follow the instructions included inside the device to adhere it to the toilet seat.
- Allow the Fe-Col® Collection Paper to droop low, but keep it above the water surface.
- Begin bowel movement on the Fe-Col® Collection Paper (Do not to wet the Fe-Col® Collection Paper).
3 Collect
- Unscrew the cap of the Stool Nucleic Acid Collection and Preservation tube (Do not spill the solution inside).
- Use the spoon to scoop the stool sample and transfer into the tube until the liquid reaches the “Fill To This Line” (Do not overfill).
- Tighten the cap and shake gently until the stool is thoroughly mixed with the preservative. Cleanup any debris with the Alcohol Swab.
- Flush the Fe-Col® Collection Paper down the toilet (Wait a few minutes for the paper to soften before flushing).
- Put the tube into biospecimen bag.
4 Send
Ship sample using the “Send” shipping box preferably within 72 hours of sample collection.
